Bringing Heart to Animation: Butch Hartman’s Next Creative Chapter

Renowned animation producer and writer Butch Hartman—creator of Nickelodeon classics The Fairly OddParents and Danny Phantom—has launched an independent animation studio dedicated to developing original content for children and families. The studio will focus on both faith-based and mainstream programming, combining Hartman’s signature storytelling with uplifting, values-driven entertainment.

Current Projects Include:

  • The Garden Cartoon

    At The Garden, we believe in nurturing young hearts and minds with faith-filled adventures that entertain, educate, and inspire. Our app is a haven where children can embark on exciting journeys, filled with valuable life lessons, all while having a blast.

A Message from Butch Hartman:

“Our stories and shows are created and curated with families in mind. We’re working with some of the best animators in the business, many of whom I’ve worked with on other shows, to offer an enriching experience suitable for children of all ages. Our mandate is to provide safe entertainment where kids can be enthralled, excited and encouraged to set their imaginations free. My Christian faith has convinced me that in a world of almost unbearable uncertainty, the importance of fun and empowering kids' entertainment has never been more profound.”

The Garden Cartoon: Growing Faith Through Fun

The first project from Butch Hartman Studios is the expansion of The Garden Cartoon—a heartwarming animated series for children, created by Butch and executive produced by his wife Julieann Hartman. Season One is now streaming on Angel Studios and other platforms via N Circle Entertainment. With Season Two currently in production, the series is also set to grow with several feature-length movies timed to Christian holidays, distributed by BMG-Global and other partners. Music from the series is handled by Capitol Records, with sales representation by Griffin Gmelich and Bill Sondheim.
